MENTORING

Mentoring is a very effective and economical way of transferring business, management, technical and personal skills from one person to another.

Based on our experience in the field of IT management we offer a personal mentoring service to CIO’s and senior IT Executives. It is based on an individually designed programme aimed to meet the needs of the individual manager. The mentoring programme usually includes:

“Clearly defined learning objectives introduced in a structured and planned manner, formal in the setting but flexible, friendly and informal in the relationship, focused on achieving results and seen to benefit the mentee, the mentor and the organisation”

Recent mentoring assignments include:

IT Management /Team Mentoring. Brought in by the CIO to assess the competence of his new senior IT management team and develop an individual mentoring program for his senior managers. The objective of the mentoring program was to develop individual managers’ skills and competencies in the areas of people management, customer service and international strategy.
CIO Mentoring. Brought in by CEO and HR Director to mentor their Divisional CIO on a range of management issues including, project management, people management and IT Management. The objective of the mentoring programme was to help the CIO to increase his strategic focus, emotional intelligence and management capability.
CIO Mentoring. A 6 month mentoring program, to increase strategic and international capabilities of a Country IT Director in an Italian retail organisation.

IT Manager Mentoring. A 8 month mentoring programme to increase the strategic and communications with the board capabilities of an IT Manager in an UK manufacturing company

Consultant Mentoring. A 12 month career development mentoring programme to help a young IT professional to become a successful consultant.

Technical Analyst Mentoring. A 12 month career development mentoring programme to help a young IT professional to become a successful Project Manager.

Change Career Mentoring. A 6 month career development mentoring programme to help a middle manager in a public service industry to make a successful career switch into IT.
